I’m passionate, sassy, and because somewhere along the way I became self-aware, I must add that I’m also a perfectionist. I love being Michael’s wife, a foster mommy to my precious foster babies, and a follower of Jesus. I should also add that my life wouldn’t be complete without our spunky (albeit somewhat annoying) Beagle/Shepherd, Riley. I don’t like olives, rude people, or bad drivers (and in Philly there are plenty of those for me to shake my fist at). In an ideal world, I’d live at the beach and drink coffee on my balcony every morning while peacefully watching the ocean. In reality, I spend my mornings reheating my cup of coffee numerous times while trying to get the baby fed and keep the dog entertained…not really much peace there! In my free time I prefer to be taking a nap or binge watching a new show, but typically I am found cooking, shopping, or scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed every 5 minutes.

But in all seriousness, and I say that pretty tongue in cheek because I’m rarely serious…I started this blog because at one point in my life I thought I was really good at eating healthy. Turns out, I was really good at eating things that were labeled “fat free”, “no sugar added”, “gluten free”, “low fat”, etc. and wasn’t that good at eating healthy at all!!! Imagine my surprise when I learned the truth…it was a pretty dark day. But I’ll save that story for a really dramatic, life-changing blog post later. Anyway, add in a spouse, children, and general life chaos, and it’s even more work to make healthy choices. After getting frustrated with so many other blogs that weren’t fulfilling my needs, I decided to create my own. So here you have it- a world where eating healthy doesn’t have to be hard and you can make simple lifestyle changes that will lead to a happier, healthier, you! (Was that cheesy enough to keep you wanting more???)
